About Gloria Lazar
Gloria S. Lazar, M.S., M.Phil., CCC is a speech-language pathologist with more than 30 years of experience helping individuals improve their communication skills. She has treated children and adults for speech-language difficulties as well as cognitive skills.
As a communication coach, she has assisted professionals and corporate executives to become effective, self-confident speakers.
A published freelance writer and poet throughout her career, she utilizes her personal experience and expertise in her work assisting individuals of all ages with their writing skills.
She holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Columbia University, Master of Arts and Master of Philosophy degrees in English from Simmons University in Boston, and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University. She is licensed in New York State, certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association and maintains memberships in numerous professional organizations in the field.
Her previous experience includes a decade of teaching writing and communications at the college and continuing education level, as well as training and experience working with dyslexia and specific learning difficulties.
She brings to the field of coaching her prior experience in the business world as director of education for an international trade association in the financial services industry where she formulated and implemented a program for professional skills development.
